Hybrid CO2 Resurfacing with Three Treatment Modes
ADVAFx® features three distinct resurfacing modes that allow providers to customize treatments based on patient needs and desired downtime.

Pulse Characteristics: Very low energy, ultra-short pulses
Mechanism:
• Delivers thermal energy below the epidermis
• Heats the dermal collagen without disrupting the skin surface
• Stimulates fibroblast activity, triggering neocollagenesis and elastin remodeling
•No open wounds, minimizing risk and minimizing downtime
Clinical Effects:
• Smoother texture, refined pores, mild lifting/tightening*
• Gradual improvement over weeks post-treatment
• Downtime: Minimal to no downtime.

Mode: Micro-ablative (light epidermal vaporization)
Pulse Characteristics: Moderate energy, short pulse duration
Mechanism:
• Creates microcolumns of vaporization (tiny ablation channels) in the epidermis
• Surrounding tissue remains intact, allowing rapid re-epithelialization
• Thermal injury extends slightly into the dermis, promoting:
